About the Item
These gorgeous tongs would make a wonderful addition to your silver service! Fashioned by Danish silver-maker Frigast in sterling silver, this lovely utensil showcases the elegant Danish Crown pattern. The tongs feature of two pierced bowls so that they can be used in a fruit bowl or tray or in an ice bucket. The handles are adorned with the tulip leaf designs, the scrolling flourishes, and the open cutwork that distinguishes the Danish Crown pattern. A tiny fracture in one of the flourishes has been professionally mended by a jeweler who used a laser technique so that the flaw is not visible. The two handles are joined with a curved bar of polished sterling silver. The interior of the tongs bears a Frigast maker's mark, a Sterling purity stamp, and a Denmark country-of-origin stamp. This lovely piece will have you looking for reasons to invite friends over for an after-theater dessert!
This piece weighs 131.7 grams, 7 1/4" long and 1 1/2" (38.1mm) wide across the bowl.
