Set of 2 Russian 84 Zolotnik Imperial Silver Gold Wash and Enamel Spoons #16819

About the Item

Set of 2 Russian Imperial silver gold wash and enamel spoons. A pair of Russian spoons made of 84 zolotnik silver, which is .875 purity. They feature pointed gold wash bowls with an intricate enamel design on the back of the bowls with a matching enamel design on the front and back of the tops of the handles. Hallmarks indicate these spoons were made by Mikhail Dimitriyev (1852-1877), assayer Viktor Vasilyevich in 1858 in Moscow. Measures approx 6 3/4" long, 1 7/16" wide across the bowl. Weighs approx 73.3g, 47.2dwt total. Marked MA (Mikhail Dimitriyev makers mark) BG 1858 (Viktor Vasilyevich) 84 (zolotnik with indicates ..875 silver purity) man on horse (city mark for Moscow, circa 1873) Nice condition with some surface scratching and light tarnish.
