The Mansion Residence

This project is in The Mansion Residence in Dallas, TX. This small very upscale building is part of The Mansion Hotel complex. The original building in the complex was the Shepard King Mansion and was completely restored and made into a restaurant in the early 1980’s by Caroline Rose Hunt. The hotel and residence buildings were added about 10 years after. Mrs. McAdams owns one half of the 12th floor---her apartment is 5000 sq. ft. Mrs. McAdams is a widow and wanted the spaces to work for her. She has very sophisticated taste, having done many residences before her move to Dallas. We used French antiques, Murano glass, early 19th c. chandeliers and installed mirrors to create glamorous yet quite comfortable spaces for her to live. The colors are primarily French blues (her bedroom) and soft gray greens (dining), along with sycamore paneling in the hallways. The colors are all soft and very low contrast --- it is elegant, yet very inviting and livable.
