Informazioni sull’articolo

Large console shelf by Nerone Patuzzi with blue mirror shelf, 1950s-60s This extraordinary console shelf, made by master sculptor Nerone Patuzzi in the 1950s-60s, is an authentic example of art and design fused in a single creation. The console is made with unparalleled sculptural mastery, as Patuzzi accustomed us to throughout his career, and is a tribute to the artist's ability to transform wood into a visionary and futuristic work of art. As you can see in the certificate in the cabinet changes were madebecause it was born as a mantelpiece. The structure, made of noble wood, has been carved with ornaments typical of Nerone Patuzzi's style, characterised by a daring play of geometries, inlets and reliefs that give life to a three-dimensional work with dynamic and sculptural surfaces. Every detail of the console tells of Patuzzi's desire to create not just furniture, but true functional sculptures. The top shelf, embellished with an intense blue mirror, amplifies the light and creates a refined play of reflections, helping to give the console an elegant, almost ethereal appearance. Note its hand-hammered legs to create a sculpted effect even in this structural element. of great fascination. The futuristic design of the console results in a perfect balance of abstract shapes and geometric volumes, where sharp lines and machined surfaces almost seem to float in space. Patuzzi, through his innovative vision, challenges conventions and transforms wood into a living, vibrant material charged with artistic significance. Each surface, carved and shaped, invites the eye to get lost in the details, discovering unexpected angles and visual rhythms that recall a rigorous and poetic abstractionism. Nerone Patuzzi does not limit himself to working with wood: he moulds it with unique techniques, often treating it with fire using a blowpipe, obtaining burnt and suggestive surfaces that add depth and character to his works. These details, combined with his ability to create sculptures in the round, show his talent for fusing art and architecture, creating works of furniture that go beyond mere functionality. It is in this console that Patuzzi is able to bring out his sculptural vision, creating a piece that transcends time and fashion, becoming a unique and unrepeatable piece of furniture. Throughout his career, Patuzzi has evolved from serial production under the brand name ‘Forme e Superfici’ to a more intimate and personal research. If in the 1950s and 1960s his work was closely linked to a rigorous geometry, with time Patuzzi was able to embrace greater conceptual freedom, exploring new horizons and creating increasingly autonomous and complete works. The blue mirror console is a perfect expression of this research: a synthesis of art, function and innovation. The console is ideal for enriching elegant and sophisticated environments, where the dialogue between design and art can be appreciated in its purest form. Every detail, every machined surface and every material choice testifies to the mastery and vision of Nerone Patuzzi, an artist capable of transforming wood into a timeless narrative. A functional work of art, perfect for those seeking an exclusive design piece, capable of expressing beauty, innovation and history.
