The Revolution's Night is an original painting realized by Iranian Painter and Poet Parimah Avani in 2023. China ink and acrylic on framed canvas. Hand signed and dated. Excellent conditions. Presented in a Solo exhibition of "Calligraphy of Bodies" in Luoghi Comuni Turin 2023. The artwork is expressively and poetically created, the well-applied dry and watery strokes represent gestural revolutionary figures in a minimalistic manner in a miniature style of composition. which makes this series unique: it is deeply behind the dynamic emotion of each gestural figure, four colors here have metaphorical features; pink as woman, yellow as hope, silvery as resistance, and red as blood. another aspect that stands out in this art is the vigorous and unbridled energy of brushstrokes. Her Series could be described as raw, spontaneous, and emotionally charged. Gestures are a powerful and thought-provoking commentary on social and political issues. Parimah Avani, born in 1988 in Tehran, Iran, is a multidisciplinary artist with various solo  and group exhibitions, performances, and published illustrations and writings. She is a  recognized figure in contemporary hermetic Persian literature and the avant-garde "Other"  movement. Her book, "Magic Verses of Antalus," was a finalist for the prestigious  "Shamlou" Award. Her most recent achievement is winning an art competition for a  scholarship and an art residency at Werkstatt Plettenberg in Germany, culminating in a  solo exhibition held at the Gallery of the German Bank...

"My life as a painter began in the late 1950s when abstraction was “The only game in town”. I followed and progressed through gesture, organic and finally, geometric non-objective painting. The radical move for me was to discover that the real world of landscape lurked behind all that past work. My childhood in the mountains of Pennsylvania pervaded my “way of seeing” and I wanted to investigate and celebrate the infinite variety of tone, color and composition that I found around me. Sky, the structure of trees, mist and water appeared to fill a hunger to look again and again. There was mystery and danger lurking behind the beauty, and my aim was to try to avoid the cliché and explore the infinite structure of the visual landscape. Now I use my camera as a sketchbook and search for images that seem to offer odd structure and “mystery”. I shoot multiple points of view, cull, crop, and mostly discard. The surviving photographs become the catalyst for the paintings and the process is always a mediation between memory and the small image pinned to my easel...
