"Dazzling Forest" Japanese landscape painting mineral pigments on silk nature

Dazzling Forest is a 2020 landscape work by Maki Kuchida. This is a much sought-after landscape work by Maki, demonstrating her delicate painting skills with so much details in one work - the nature environment, trees with various forms and shapes, the river, the reflection and the 3 colorful coyotes. Maki combines the Japanese style landscape painting technique with the Chinese one thus her landscape work is unique in its own way. Coyotes are mascots that appear very often in Maki's landscape paintings.
The painted size of the work is approx. 34 x 43cm, while the framed size is approx. 54 x 63cm. It is framed with archival grade mount. There will be a certificate of authenticity issued with your acquisition.
Maki's paintings may seem deceptively simple at first but indeed the colors and texture are achieved through a labor-intensive and time-consuming process as painting on silk for one color requires at least 8 layers of pigments.
