About the Item

Once upon a Time...Visit to a Museum (2017), oil on canvas stretched over wooden frame, 90x90 cm, by Italian contemporary artist Annemarie Ambrosoli (ICA - International Certified Artist) A "visit to a Museum": A speaker explain to the visitors about old telephones. visitors listen to the speaker. He talks about the voice communication in the 20s and 30s century. This painting has many elements: old types of telephones, original hairstyles of the figures, earrings of various shapes. There is a figure in the center of the canvas, which is the most important: the speaker. The shades of colors are many but well harmonized. Each face has a different expression: curiosity, attention, distraction. The blue tones on the two sides of the canvas enclose the scene and act as a frame. This artwork comes directly from the Artist's Studio Hand-signed by the Artist front lower right, dated and signed on verso of the canvas. Certificate of Authenticity included issued by the Artist The painting is unfraimed, bu ready to hang Annemarie Ambrosoli's figures are a symbolic representation of the human figure, which is simplified and stylized. The third dimension is eliminated, she paints flat figures, without shadows, with circles, shapes and where lively color predominates. In her paintings she likes to tell moments of everyday life, but her inspirations include the unexpected feeling and thoughts generated by poetry and music. Annemarie gives a lot of meaning to the mouth which is painted with few lines, but sufficient to convey to the viewer an emotion through the figure, that reflects the soul of the artist. The eyes are not important for the artist, while the mouth expressing an emotion is. Annemarie Ambrosoli plays with colors, shapes and symbols that everyone can interpret in their own way. The colors are vibrant, yet pleasing and in harmony She began painting as a landscape painter and she painted her landscapes outdoors in contact with nature. After the landscape period she has expressed herself with a new theme, joyful representation of geometric stylized figures, which give positivity, but also a bit of mystery Annemarie Ambrosoli has been awarded several times, in particular: • by A’Design Award in the "Arts, Crafts and Ready-Made Design" category in 2021 and 2019; • Nominee in the category of International Artist Award at the World Art Dubai in 2018; • Career Prize in the Press Room of Rome's Chamber of Deputies in 2018, awarded by START GROUP srls on 20 October 2018 • Gala de l’Art 2017 in Montecarlo, Annemarie Ambrosoli won second prize and received her award from Casa D'Aste Iori Piacenza at the Hotel Fairmont • Nominations Annemarie Ambrosoli’s has participated in numerous collective exhibitions in many cities in Europa and solo exhibitions in Italy and Austria She has exhibited at numerous art fairs in Europa, Canada, Dubai, Hong Kong Images of her works are published in art books Her works can be found in private collections in Europe and Asia Keywords: Old Phones, People, Figures, Hat, Blue, Red, Yellow, Green, Contemporary, Orange, Black
