Denise Driscoll's "Entanglement 1" is a large 48 x 36 inch colorful abstract acrylic painting in which webs of gold and coppery red dots intermingle, shimmer and float over a riot of overlapping shapes in magenta, violet, green, orange and metallic gold. The surface is distressed and many-layered. This 48 x 36 x 1.5 inch acrylic painting is on a birch panel and the sides are painted black. The painting is signed on the reverse.
Denise Driscoll is a contemporary painter exploring themes of interconnection and inner experience. Each painting begins with the premise that everything is connected to everything else. Her work has been shown throughout New England and is in many private collections. Driscoll is represented by Fountain Street Gallery in Boston, MA.

Denise Driscoll
Denise Driscoll is a contemporary painter exploring the notion that all living things —plants, animals, and humans—are connected in an intricate mesh of being, yet each exists at the center of their world. These simultaneous centers of lived experience swirl within and around us, piercing, enveloping, and permeating with or without our notice. Often, her paintings have no focal point. Instead, clusters of ovals and perforated shapes entwine and melt into each other within ambiguous boundaries. Highly saturated, complementary colors vibrate and seem to float just above the painted surface. Each canvas becomes an imaginary map of exchange, a playful, hopeful vision of momentary harmony.
