About the Item

Hand-signed and dated on the back.
A minimal wood frame red colored is included 44 x 3 x 44 cm
Good conditions.
This original painting is realized witha a vivid gold acrylic paint on canvas and presents two cuts on its surface. The painting consists in only one homogeneous vivid color. The cuts are mended with twine, like stitches do for healing wounds. The artist was certainly inspired by the great Italian artist Lucio Fontana, whom created the concept of Spatialism and came up with the idea of space inside a flat surface like the one for painting.
The artwork has been realized by Mario Bigetti, a Roman contemporary artist, an art merchant and a coinnesseur. He is also an expert of the Old master painting of the Roman scene between the XVII and the XVIII Century. The old painting is present in his work; the idea of the seams, indeed, wants to re-create the original sense of the painting. He starts from the idea of the end of the painting (as Lucio Fontana did with his well-known cuts on the surface of his artworks), but with its seams and the twine, he operates a re-union and a return of the painting in its origin.

- Let Me Wrap My Dream - Contemporary Mixed Media Red + Green + Black + GreyBy Binay SinhaLocated in Gilroy, CA"Let Me Wrap My Dream" is a contemporary artwork by Indian artist Binay Sinha. The imagery is a composition of many different textures, both artificial and natural. The bright red cloth is surrounded by shrubbery and an unknown manufactured texture. His surrealistic style captures the balance of flora & fauna, humanity, and city elements. Sinha's longing for the natural environment incorporates plants and natural textures into his works. This piece has a muted background with the central imagery vivid and colorful, commanding attention and consideration. From the artist: "Migration for employment from rural to urban areas has emerged. The history of migration is probably as long as human existence itself. Although the nature of migration has changed over time, factors that influence immigrants’ mental well-being largely remain the same. Migration for employment from rural to urban areas has emerged mainly due to agrarian stress in almost every part of India. This has raised many questions for me about what constitutes home and family. Is home a gunny sack...Category
