This beautiful mixed media painting represents a typical village of Puglia, the Italian region in southern Italy where the artist born.
Aldo Riso (Santa Maria di Leuca,1927 - Roma, 2008) graduated in law. Nevertheless, he started his artistic career at a very young age. In his artworks, he represents mostly landscape themes, in particular of Puglia and of southern Italy.
