Andrei Petrov
Andrei Petrov is an American Artist of Russian origins. He lives and works in New York. Petrov states, "In my approach, two roads are taken: a natural, Hudson River School path of light and drama-filled grandeur that encounters energetically animated gestures, muscular surfaces, and bold strokes familiar in Abstract Expressionism. Beneath numerous glazes and opalescent layers swaths of paint dash about this stage and often emerge from the lower depths of which there are many levels. Freezing the action allows a probing slow-motion breakdown of the components that comprise the canvas. Think of a frozen lake: leaves, twigs, nuts, fish are all suspended in ice at different depths and angles. Piercing the surface, thick islets of paint interrupt a placid color field and create a vast nonlinear perspective from the root to the fruit of the gesture. Tension is created by the juxtaposition of animated bursts of paint with the slow contemplative layering found in paintings of the Hudson River School. The invitation to explore this amber-like world is now extended. Sometimes the brush is mightier than the pen."

- Dance of Shiva - Hindu God Shiva, Figurative and Abstract Oil Painting, BrownBy Gian Berto VanniLocated in New York, NYGian Berto Vanni's "Dance of Shiva" is a 68 x 36-inch figurative versus abstract oil painting on canvas. The painting has a simple gallery display frame in natural wood with a black reveal. It represents Shiva, one of the principal deities of Hinduism. The figure of Shiva slowly fades into an abstraction. The outcome is a powerful composition between a fiery warrior and a magic tree with an explosive bark. The beautiful interplay between different shades of brown adds a unique austerity and elegance to the artwork. The figure is an homage to the Dancing Shiva...Category

- Give Me the Truth, Not RosesLocated in Ibadan, OyoIn the quest to find utopia, I realized the role of truth and honesty in society cannot be underemphasized. It takes a thousand lies to cover a truth and this could lead to damaging effects among people. A healthy relationship, family and society relies solely on the pedestal of honest and truth. I indulge my audience to not only admire the work of art but to also reflect upon this discourse. Shipping Procedure Ships in a well-protected tube. - BoredLocated in Ibadan, OyoThe artwork "Bored" is a stunning creation that weaves a delicate tapestry of dreams and reality. The artist has skillfully captured the essence of a young girl's imagination, allowing the viewer to peer into the depths of her thoughts and aspirations. The lady's posture exudes an air of calm contemplation, but her eyes tell a different story. They glimmer with a hint of mischief and wonder, hinting at the magical world she has conjured up in her mind. In the background of the painting, the artist has masterfully depicted a vision of northern horsemen, galloping majestically across vast, snow-covered plains. These horsemen, clad in traditional attire, symbolize strength, courage, and freedom - qualities that the young girl may yearn for or admire. The contrast between the girl's stillness and the dynamic scene she envisions creates a captivating juxtaposition, emphasizing the power of imagination and the allure of the unknown. As the viewer gazes at the artwork, they are drawn into a narrative of the young girl's daydream. Perhaps she is longing for adventure, yearning to explore the far-off lands of the North, or maybe she seeks to break free from the mundane routine of everyday life. The painting stirs the imagination, leaving room for personal interpretations and connections. The title "Bored" takes on a deeper meaning in light of the young girl's reverie. It hints at the idea that boredom can be a catalyst for creativity and imagination. In moments of monotony, the mind often seeks escape, finding solace in the realm of daydreams and fantasies. This painting serves as a reminder that boredom is not necessarily a negative emotion, but a gateway to exploration and self-discovery. The artist's technique in "Bored" is nothing short of mesmerizing. The use of vibrant colors and soft brushstrokes adds a touch of surrealism, enhancing the dreamlike quality of the artwork. The girl's expression is a masterpiece in itself, evoking empathy and inviting the viewer to empathize with her world of dreams. In a world where we are constantly surrounded by distractions and technology, "Bored" reminds us of the power of introspection and the beauty of allowing our minds to wander freely. It encourages us to embrace moments of stillness and delve into the depths of our imagination, just like the young girl in the painting. Art has the incredible ability to transport us to different realities, and "Bored" achieves just that. It invites us to envision our own northern horsemen or any other fantastic tales that lie within our hearts. It celebrates the essence of childhood wonder, where even the simplest of moments can become the foundation for extraordinary journeys. In conclusion, "Bored" is an exquisite artwork that captures the essence of a young girl's daydream about northern horsemen. It stands as a testament to the power of imagination and the art of storytelling through visual means. As we gaze upon this masterpiece, let us also be reminded of the beauty of introspection, the allure of dreams, and the magic that lies within every one of us.
