Robert Julius Beyschlag (Germany, 1838-1903) mother and child oil painting, circa 1870 Charming original oil painting by listed 19th century German artist Robert Beyschlag. A young mother introduced her child to family dog. Robert Julius Beyschlag was educated at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich. He was known for his beautiful portraits of young women and children. He mostly worked in Italy, Germany and France. This fine painting is created with oils on canvas. Housed in a beautiful gilded frame. Painting dimensions: 25" x 20". The frame measures: 29" x 24". Signed in the lower right corner. Very good antique condition. Paintings by this 19th century German master seldom appear on the market. This is a fine opportunity to acquire one of his finest works.
