This exquisite watercolor on board painting is the work of a highly respected Italian artist, Marrani, who was active in the 19th Century. It depicts a courtyard of the Palazzo Ducale In Venice, and shows a fountain surmounted by a winged mythological figure, with ornately decorated cloisters and a sculpture behind. The painting contains a signature and a monogram to the lower right. It is set in a giltwood frame. Frame height 106.5cm, width 79.5cm Board height 80cm, width 53.5cm
