This impressionist seascape features the ocean water crashing against the rocks on the beach. The whitecaps of the waves gives this work an energy and vitality, while the blue water and sky keep the work calming. It's the kind of scene that you can almost hear: waves curling into the shoreline before being pulled back out again.
Artist Commentary:
I love rocks! I was actually a geology major for a nanosecond until I realized that geology wasn't my calling. I still love to study rocks and some of my favorite treasures are the rocks I've collected throughout my lifetime. Currently, I'm enjoying painting the rocky shorelines that I frequent often in California and Massachusetts.
