About the Item
In this peaceful abstract landscape by Julie Himel, washes of soft gray, white, black and the palest of yellows flood the canvas with light. Known for her thoughtful, ethereal and expressive portraits of land, forest and sky, Himel has chosen a more subdued palette here. She calls this painting ‘meditative.’

Julie Himel completed a BFA at York University with additional studies at the Toronto School of Art and Langara College in Vancouver. Himel has been painting professionally for more than 25 years. Her award-winning paintings can be found in private, corporate and public collections.
