Pennsylvania artist, Kenneth Frazier attended the Academy Julian in Paris. Kenneth Frazier became friends with Henri Toulouse-Lautrec, Paul Verlaine, James Abbott McNeill Whistler, and Oscar Wilde in Paris. Kenneth Frazier was and member of the Society of American Artists and National Academy of Design; he exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (1917), Society of Independent Artists (1931), Society of Independent Artists (1931), and the Whitney Museum of American Art (1932). Kenneth Frazier exhibited in the 1913 Armory Show in New York City and was a trustee of the Brooklyn Museum of Art from 1922-28. Frazier was awarded a medal at the 1901 Panama-Pacific Exposition. Frazier was married to Julianne Fish and lived in her family home in Garrison-on-Hudson and summered in Mt. Desert, Maine.

Lathrop first moved east in the early 1880s, and took a job at the Photoengraving Company in New York City. While there, he befriended a fellow employee, Henry B. Snell.
