Northern Lombardy. 1938. Embury 38.20. Oil on board. 5 x 10. Signed "L. Lucioni" lower right. Good original condition. Housed in a stunning gold-and-black wood frame.
hroughout his career, Mr. Lucioni painted images of mist and mountains. He gifted the finished version of Northern Lombardy the finished version of Northern Lombardy (Embury 38.19) to The Shelburne Museum in Shelburne, Vermont
Mr. Lucioni saw and authenticated the painting. He stated that the sketch was done out of doors in one day.
The subject is related to "Normandie (Embury 38.18) and "Alpine Mist (Embury 38.2).
