An inspiring oil painting by the French impressionist artist, Marc Bardon, born 1891, of a Parisian street scene in the Montmartre quarter, with the white domes of the Sacre Coeur Basilica in the distance. Bardon would have watched with awe the construction, on the highest point in Paris, of the magnificent Sacre Coeur Basilica which was completed in 1914 and consecrated in 1919.
