Sparkling landscape painting on canvass by Marion Butler Ewald of Pennsylvania. The painting measures 28" x 26" and is contained in a frame that measures 39" x 37". The painting is marked with the estate stamp, verso, and features a pallet and overall look that is reminiscent of Daniel Barber - no surprising as Butler was a student at the PAFA during 1920s, while Garber and the other Bucks County painters were in their ascendency.
The painting is also stamped verso with the mark of the Chester Springs PA division of the Pennsylvania Academy - this suggests that the painting was done somewhere in Chester s, Delaware or Bucks County. Overall, the painting is in excellent condition. Ready to hang.
