About the Item
Fine oil painting on chamfered wood panel by listed Franco-American painter Rufus J Dryer (1880-1937). The artist was associated with American Bucks County School, but spent much of his professional artistic career in Paris in the Salon d'Automne and Salone des Tuileries. The painting shows an agricultural landscape which could be either French or American, although the painting is evidently rendered in a manner reminiscent of Cezanne. The painting is signed and dated at the lower right, and is in excellent condition. Contained within a 23kt gilded impressionist frame. Ready to hang.
