TITLE: "Canal Lock Scene" (probably River Wey Navigation Surrey)
SIGNED: initialled lower right and inscribed on backboard
MEDIUM: oil on board
SIZE: 66cm x 62cm inc frame
CONDITION: excellent
DETAIL: According to the Royal Academy exhibition records, Marshall lived at Mariners Courtlands Avenue in Esher Surrey. He exhibited at the RA in the late 1950's and taught at Kingston School Of Art. The painting inscribed on the original backboard in artist hand "WJG MARSHALL KINGSTON SCHOOL OF ART' and the painting further initialled lower right corner.
