Alberto Magnelli (1888-1971) is a famous Italian artist; he can be considered as a precursor of Abstract movement in Europe. He started with futurists but since 1915 starts to create abstract compositions. He elaborated a personal vision of painting, creating a current that he has defined as "Imaginary Realism".

Alberto Magnelli was a famous Italian artist born in Florence, Italy, in 1888. He can be considered as a precursor of the Abstract movement in Europe. Magnelli started with futurists, but since 1915, he started to create abstract compositions.
