Created by Andy Warhol in 1966 to coincide with an early exhibition of the artist’s work at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, Campbell’s Soup Can (Tomato Soup) is an original Warhol screenprint on an original shopping bag measuring 24 x 17 (61 x 43 cm), unframed from the unknown edition size as issued. Published by the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston on the occasion of the museum’s October, 1966 Warhol exhibition and designated as FS II.4A in the artist’s catalogue raisonne.
