About the Item

Early 19th century cattle engraving from Rees' Cyclopaedia. Sydenham Teast Edwards (1768-1819), was a natural history illustrator. He produced watercolours for engraving for Curtis's Botanical Magazine, New Botanic Garden 1805-7, New Flora Britannica 1812, and The Botanical Register 1815-19. He also provided drawings for encyclopaedias such as Pantologia and Rees's Cyclopaedia. 270mm by 210mm (sheet)
