Mid 20th Century

About the Item

Relaxing Bull is an original woodcut print realized by Mino Maccari. Included a white Passepartout: 49 x 34 cm. The state of preservation is very good except for small riping along the margins which do not affect the image. The artwork represents a fantastic scenery of two bulls, at the top, the bull is relaxing on a sofa, the image below demonstrates a bull of farm carrying by a donkey in a carriage. The artwork is characterized by strong and confident strokes, in a well-balanced composition with congruous and harmonious colors in the bluish background. Mino Maccari (Siena, 1898 – Rom, 1989) was a popular Italian painter and engraver. He produced many artworks through different graphic techniques.
