The original “Aretha” vintage music promotional poster features Aretha Franklin and artwork created by Andy Warhol. Archivally backed linen is in very good condition and ready to frame. A- condition. This is an unnumbered limited edition vintage poster edition by Arista Records. One of Warhol's last works was a portrait of Aretha Franklin for the cover of her 1986 gold album Aretha. The commissioned portrait artwork created in 1986 titled “Aretha” was produced for the 31st studio album. Aretha Franklin was a civil rights activist, actress and pianist, the ‘Queen of Soul’ and of course, a brilliant singer. Aretha Franklin, often referred to as the "Queen of Soul," was one of the most iconic and influential musicians of the 20th century. Her powerful voice and emotional delivery made her a legend in the world of soul music. Andy Warhol was a prominent pop art figure known for his iconic works featuring celebrities and consumer products. His style often involved vibrant colors and repetitive imagery.
