Linen backed original 1939 James Montgomery Flagg vintage poster: Your in Trust; we must protect it from fire. "If we would have forests--we must prevent fires: Maryland State Department of Forestry. This poster is very good condition with very minor edge wear, near mintn. The artist Flagg is most famous as the self portrait of "Uncle Sam" from 1917 in the poster I Want You for U. S. Army. His self portrait makes him one of the world's most famous faces. Very good condition and is ready to frame. A Reproduction from a Oil Painting as this original poster, by James Montgomery Flagg it hangs in the Lobby of the American Forestry Association, in Washington, D.C.. American Forestry Association. James M. Flagg did the famous "I Want You for the Army" using his own self portrait in the 1917 poster; perhaps the most recognized face in the world!. Rare original 1939 U.S.A. Forestry original poster. This poster was also printed as a U. S. Postal stamp.
