"Denim IV" Monochrome Wood Wall Sculpture - Blue, indigo, navy, copper, jeans

2022

About the Item

NOTE: This is a commission piece. It will be made specifically for you. Custom sizes and colors available. Allow 3-4 weeks plus shipping. "Denim IV" is a modern, minimalist, wood wall sculpture made from birch, washed acrylic paint and metallic enamel and finished with furniture wax. The copper shows through between the pieces and in the negative space. Because the color palette is limited, the focus shifts to the composition and balance of the piece, rather than relaying on color to carry the piece. The navy acrylic washes in different opacities are reminiscent of different shades of stonewashed denim and are hand waxed to show a matte finish. The stunning metallic copper enamel on the backer offers a bold contrast. The piece is finished on all sides (Except the back and comes wired to hang).
