This stylized figural study captures a young girl restraining a struggling swan trying to take flight purportedly by Marius Jean Antonin Mercié, bearing the incised signature “Mercié” on the base.. The work is quite heavy weighing in about 65 lbs and boasts an opulent dark patina.
