  • Diana Sculpture II /// Contemporary Pop Street Art Hunt Figurative Bow and Arrow
    By Jack Graves III
    Located in Saint Augustine, FL
Artist: Jack Graves III (American, 1988-) Title: "Diana Sculpture II" Series: Sculpture *Signed, titled, and dated by Graves on bottom Year: 2022 Medium: Original Acrylic Painted Cast Marble Sculpture Dimensions: 17" tall x 6.88" wide x 6" deep Weight: 3 pounds Condition: In mint condition Notes: This is a unique work, not from an edition. The raw white cast marble sculpture itself was not created by the artist; it is a found object which Graves has hand-painted and transformed with his own design. The sculpture is cast marble: over 90% natural crushed Greek Marble stone with a small amount of resin poured into a mold, made in Heraklion, Greece. Diana is a goddess in Roman and Hellenistic religion, primarily considered a patroness of the countryside, hunters, crossroads, and the Moon. She is equated with the Greek goddess Artemis, and absorbed much of Artemis' mythology early in Roman history, including a birth on the island of Delos to parents Jupiter and Latona, and a twin brother, Apollo, though she had an independent origin in Italy...

"The Metropolitan Scene", a portfolio of prints by Richard Anuszkiewicz, Helen Frankenthaler, Adolph Gottlieb, Nicholas Krushenick, Roy Lichtenstein, and George Segal, was commissioned for a traveling exhibition organized by the Education Department of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, NY. The museum received ten Roman-numbered copies for this purpose. Tanglewood Press then released all but Gottlieb's print in numbered editions of fifty. (Gottlieb's contract with Marlborough Gallery, New York, NY, did not permit commercial release of his print by the publisher). "Air Frame" (cat. no. 6) was Frankenthaler's first silkscreen - a medium that Universal Limited Art Editions, West Islip, NY did not use, although it became increasingly popular for artists' prints, both in Europe and the United States, during the sixties. Several other silkscreens followed in the next few years: "Untitled" (cat no. 11), in 1967, and "Sun Corner" (cat. no. 12) by Tanglewood Press, New York, in 1968. - "What Red Lines Can Do" (cat. nos. 22-26) is a suite of silkscreens published by Multiples, Inc., at that time directed by Rosa Esman, in 1970. - (Harrison - page 19). • Native American Girl with Doll
    By Dave Powell
    Located in Missouri, MO
Native American Girl with Doll By Dave Powell (American, b. 1954) Signed on Back 17.5" x 8" Dave Powell is a native son of Montana, in a world of change and transition; few can say they have roots in a single geography that go back four generations. Dave's pedigree in art is just about as deep. He is the son of artists Ace Powell and Nancy McLaughlin Powell. That heritage leads back to the likes of Charlie Russell and Joe De Young, both famous for their abilities to "tell the story" through their art. His father, Ace Powell, was a prolific Western artist whose first childhood paint-box set was a gift from Charlie and Nancy Russell. Dave became a serious student of art in his mid-teens, and has been a professional artist most of his adult life. Over the years he has worked with Bob Scriver, Ned Jacob and Robert Lougheed. Dave will be the first to give thanks...
