Red Flying “Fuck” with yellow and multicolored beads, Jim Pallas
Located in Fairfield, CT
Artist: Jim Pallas (1941) Title: Red Flying “Fuck” with yellow and multicolored beads Year: 2014 Medium: Epoxy, urethane, ceramic, beads Size: 6 x 7 x 5 inches Condition: Excellent Inscription: Signed and dated JIM PALLAS (1941-) American painter, draughtsman, sculptor, and printmaker. An innovator of technological art beginning in the early 1960s, Pallas drew inspiration from his upbringing in Detroit, Michigan where he had early exposure to the automobile industry, its materials and design. He is recognized for having employed electronics and early computer technology to enable his sculptures to respond to external stimuli. Often the circuit boards specifically designed for a particular piece were, themselves, drawings. Throughout his varied career, Pallas has created sculptures and reliefs employing a variety of subjects often imbuing the objects with humor and irony, yet connecting them to everyday life and experiences. Represented by the preeminent Allan Stone Gallery in New York for more than two decades, Pallas’s work has been exhibited in and collected by institutions nationwide including the Detroit Institute of Art, and Columbia University. In legacy, Jim Pallas’s artwork is allied with other innovative masters of the 1960s and 70s including Red Grooms, Larry Rivers, Andy Warhol, Claes Oldenburg, Yaakov Agam, Nam June Paik, Frieder Nake, Leslie Mezei, Georg Nees, A. Michael Noll...

Death of St Joseph Printed Basketball
Located in Draper, UT
Limited-Edition Basketball: "Death of St. Joseph" by Kehinde Wiley In the realm where art meets sport, a remarkable creation awaits - a limited-edition basketball adorned with the transcendent brushwork of Kehinde Wiley. Renowned for his profound reimaginations of classical portraiture, Wiley's influence on the contemporary art scene is as undeniable as it is transformative. About the Artist: Kehinde Wiley, born in Los Angeles in 1977, emerged as a luminary in the art world with a vision that defied convention. His journey was one of innovation, guided by a profound respect for history and a boundless determination to redefine it. Wiley's artistry is a testament to the dynamic interplay between tradition and reinvention. Deeply influenced by the 18th Century's classical biblical portraiture, Wiley's creative alchemy gave birth to "Death of St. Joseph." This awe-inspiring painting is a testament to his ability to traverse time and infuse ancient narratives with contemporary relevance. St. Joseph, a figure steeped in enigmatic art history, found new life under Wiley's masterful hand. Influences and Inspirations: At the core of Wiley's work lies a fascination with the human form, an obsession with identity, and a profound respect for the diverse tapestry of cultures that shape our world. His canvases are a symphony of color, a dance of patterns and textures that echo the rich heritage of his subjects. Through this kaleidoscope, Wiley weaves a tale of inclusivity, inviting us all to bear witness to the beauty that unites us. The open hand...

Erinnerungen an einen Mord
Located in Wien, 9
Curt Stenvert was an Austrian avant-garde artist who initially worked as a painter. His artistic practice gradually expanded to include cinematic works and object art. His works are still internationally acclaimed today. He received his artistic training through his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. He studied there with Albert Paris Gütersloh and Fritz Wotruba, which enabled him to deal with aspects of movement and perspective. This resulted in his aluminium plexiglass sculptures. His cinematic works were also influenced by his preoccupation with movement. Movement became a central motif in his works. Stenvert introduces the viewer to the biological, psychological, sociological and philosophical conditions of human existence. He developed experimental, feature-length and documentary films, which won international awards. He had solo museum exhibitions in Sweden, Italy and Germany and took part in the 1966 Venice Biennale. The social aspect preoccupied Stenvert throughout and he translated his impressions and thoughts of student unrest, social protests...

Lucite Flower by Herb Elsky- 1983
Located in Pasadena, CA
This rare Lucite resin sculpture, bearing the signature of Herb Elsky and dated 1983 on its base, portrays a flower and its stem intricately carved within two acrylic blocks joined together. It could be a phantasmal sunflower in the color of crystal. The light passes through, and flows through the flower, the shape of its head opening to the sky, its central bud, the back of its petals embellished by veins, and its foot on which fine stem details are engraved. The back of the flower boasts a rougher texture. Depending on the angle of view, the different sources of light, sun, or electrical light the flower no longer gives itself only in this transparency close to crystal but becomes tinged with yellows, or red like the sofa behind it. It is fascinating! Herb Elsky is an artist who, for several decades specialized in abstract visual art, but in more recent years combining sight and sound...

The bright and bold colours of the butterflies make this a joyful piece. Olsen’s use of perspex allows for work to fit sleekly into any interior. Michael Olsen says: My working life has lead me down numerous paths. Retailing medicines through my Pharmacy business in the early years to creating the 1st UK Pet superstore in 1990 and more recently operating a coffee shop, I’ve almost always enjoyed how I’ve earned my living. Having spent the greater part of my 74 years making things simply for pleasure or for practical purposes, more recently I’ve been able to allow my artistic impulses develop. What was a hobby has now become a full time and gratifying venture. I enjoy the simple, beautiful things that life has to offer – family, love, the outdoors (cycling through it), music (better heard through a needle) and time spent happily with others as well as alone – all of which inspire me to try to create things to enhance the enjoyment of life. I’ve always been fascinated by nature and in particular butterflies. To me, there is something captivating about that moment when a butterfly stops to allow an onlooker to admire its form. Using this as my stimulus I wanted to see if I could create something that was both contemporary and visually stimulating. An installation which could be displayed in homes, offices, restaurants as well as hotel rooms. I decided to create a flight of butterflies...
