Both engraved by Richard Earlom (14 May 1743, London – 9 October 1822, London) was an English engraver and painter. The engravings are characterized by different landscapes taken from works by the painter Claude Lorrain (Chamagne, December 16, 1600 - Rome, November 23, 1682), a French painter, active mainly in Rome and considered the master of the genre of the ideal landscape.

A handsome pair of mezzotints by Austrian printer Johann Peter Pichler circa 1806 after the original painting on copper by Jan van Huysum. They remain in a nearly pristine overall condition. The same prints are carried in the permanent collections of the Winterthur Museum, the British Museum of Art and the National Galleries of Scotland; the original painting for the print with the bird's nest is also held in the permanent collection of the National Galleries of Scotland. Pichler's representation of van Huysum's iconic work was cherished for the exquisite tones and richly textured surfaces. They were completed in Vienna, Austria circa 1806 while the van Huysum paintings were still part of the Czernin collection.
