Andrzej Fogtt Animal Paintings
Andrzej Fogtt was born on October 9, 1950, in Poznań. He graduated from the PWSSP in Poznań in 1974 where he studied in the studios of prof. Z. Kępiński and M. Abakanowicz. Initially, his art was considered to be new figuration, but later, he developed his artistic language. His paintings are covered with colorful expressive spots and create an illusion of three-dimensional. In 1984, Fogtt won the Grand Prix at the Festival of Polish Contemporary Painting in Szczecin. He then represented Polish art at the Venice Biennale in 1989. He created a remarkable project titled Tower of European Unity, a world center of organizations dealing with humanitarian aid.
