Chamnan Chongpaiboon Art
Thai, b. 1982
Chamnan Chongpaiboon lives and works in Thailand. He studied at the University of Fine Arts of Suphanburi, and went on to study at the King Mongkut Institute of Technology where he obtained a degree in painting, sculpture, and engraving.
Through his work, the artist developed an original and unique language. He produces portraits of women using thousands of paint drops applied in concentric circles, all done by hand, with incredible regularity and precision. He uses the aboriginal technique known as "dotting" and pointillism without losing its modernity. The result is impressive and charming, which make his models hypnotising .
His pieces have been exhibited in Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, London and New York just to name a few.(Biography provided by Nadia Arnold Ltd)
