Three gondole in Venice - Black White etched landscape by iconic Federica Galli

Federica Galli, an exquisite and prominent Italian etcher, dedicated two to the etchings of 39 Venice Viewscaps. She was able to interpret the splendid Italian city from an authentic unique standpoint.
Some of the 39 Views have been conceived as pairs, such as those featured above.
The pair of prints comprising Lo Squero, which is the most historic Gondole manufacturer boats in Venice, and it is still operating; and Lake of Pageri.
The two prints are perfect in terms of both size and atmosphere.

La Riviere Vefsna- Helgeland, Norvege
By Clarence Alphonse Gagnon
Located in Bloomfield, ON
An intimate painting of sea, cliffs and sky in turquoise and marine blue of the Norwegian fjord. It is an immediate and likely en plein air painting that, given the lack of foreground land, may have been created from a boat. The work distills Gagnon’s frequent composition of valleys, mountains, vivid colors, sinuous lines.
Clarence Alphonse Gagnon, R.C.A., was a French Canadian painter, engraver and illustrator well known for his landscape paintings of the Laurentians and eastern Quebec.
Gagnon trained and maintained a studio in Paris for much of his career and met and sketched with other Canadian painters including James Wilson Maurice. Before and after WWI, Gagnon moved between Canada, France, and Norway.
In 1923, Gagnon received the Trevor Prize of the Salmagundi Club of New York. Between 1924 and 1936, Gagnon spent time in Paris and
traveled throughout Europe. It was during this period that he illustrated a number of books, including Rouquette’s Le grand silence blanc...

Rue Des Petits Degres Saint-Malo
By Clarence Alphonse Gagnon
Located in Bloomfield, ON
Rue des Petits Degres is a short, stepped alleyway in the walled port city of Saint-Malo in Brittany in northwestern France on the English Channel. In this monochrome black/sepia etching of the ancient street, a cat in a doorway and four figures mark the receding perspective up the stairs towards the distant smoking chimneys of this city in 1907.
