Exceptional Antique English Davenport Ironstone Hand Painted Imari Decor "Bamboo & Peony" pattern large Covered Vegetable Tureen or Entree Dish in the most spectacular jewel tones. This "Chinoise" pattern is one of the most gorgeous patterns ever seen on English ironstone and Davenport has been making porcelain and ironstone since the late 18th century and has been Royal Warranted for over 200 years. Please note the rich cobalt blue and gilt finial handle on the lid and the decoration which is not only richly on the lid but in the interior of the base of the tureen as well.
