Sculptural and dimensional sideboard or room divider in hand carved tiger oak, black lacquered wood, and smoked mirror made and designed by Studio Doubinsky Fréres in 1971. This unit is edition 1 of 2 that were made, and it comprises three main wooden sections that are finished on both sides and supported in the middle on a rectangular black lacquered platform base.
There are two free-floating cabinets that are secured onto each side of the center octagonal structure. The front of the octagonal portion showcases eight protruding triangular segments that alternate in oak bordered smoked mirror and beautifully carved oak reliefs of varying female forms and geometric shapes.
