Peter Sorel Black and White Photography

Peter Sorel is an American artist and photographer, who after immigrating to the United States in 1959, became one of the film industry's most respected photographers, documenting movie sets and creating stunning poster images for more than 120 films, including Easy Rider, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Dune, L.A. Confidential, Frida, Twilight, Se7en and Life of Pi. Working closely with his friend, Academy Award-winning cinematographer, the late Vilmos Szigmond, Sorel established himself as one of the most sought after names in film photography. During the filming of the Blues Brothers in Chicago, Illinois, he fell in love with the city and moved to Chicago, in 2008.

Elvis Presley: The Kiss
By Lloyd Dinkins
Located in Austin, TX
A vintage 1956 photograph featuring the King, Elvis Presley puckering his lips as he kisses the lens in this fantastic shot. This rare photo is a second-generation example made after Elvis died in the 70s but was made off of the original negative. A standout photo of Presley that we have never seen before. Elvis Presley, also known simply as Elvis, was an American singer, musician, and actor. He is regarded as one of the most significant cultural icons of the 20th century and is often referred to as the "King of Rock and Roll" or simply "the King". His energized interpretations of songs and sexually provocative performance style, combined with a singularly potent mix of influences across color lines during a transformative era in race relations...
