Shoichi Hasegawa
Japanese, b. 1929
Shoichi Hasegawa (b1929) Painter and printmaker born in Yazu, Japan in 1929. After completing studies in drawing and painting at the Kokuga Institute in Kyoto he had his first solo show in 1957. In 1961 he moved to Paris and began working at Atelier 17. Hasegawa’s work is in many important museum collections including the Bibliothèque nationale, Paris, Museum of Modern Art New, York, Victoria and Albert Museum, London, and the Museum Fuji, Tokyo.(Biography provided by Klasiskas Makslas galerija)
