Fereshteh Stoecklein artistic journey began at the impressionist school of painting ‘Ecole des Arts Francais’.
Her husband’s career as a hotelier of a luxury hotel chain meant living in many different countries, so to her exploration of art followed suit. In Malaysia, she was inspired by Chinese brush painting, studying under three masters in the art of calligraphy, Chinese ink and colour brush painting. Born in Damascus in 1951, Ali Mourabet has lived in Beirut with his family for the greater part of his life. An architect since 1976, he has a long-running passion for designing buildings, and as a professional artist since 1977, a love for depicting scenes from Lebanon, and this is reflected in much of his work.
Regarding both architecture and painting as forms of art, Mourabet is never without a pencil or a paintbrush in his hand and to this day continues to experiment with new processes and techniques, especially in more recent years, having freed up more time to focus on his fine art practice.
The consistent theme running through Mourabet’s captivating paintings is their extremely vibrant colour palette. With many of his works presenting simplistic geometric shapes and architectural forms and others depicting everyday life in his immediate surroundings, Mourabet is continuously seeking to explore different styles and techniques, while at the same time remaining faithful to the subjects closest to his heart.

Mieke is a self-taught photographer whose work questions relationships between people and nature by challenging issues of distance and intimacy. Mieke draws influence from Abstract Impressionists, the abandonment of the traditional and combines this with the the17th century Dutch Master Painters’ use of light, composition and colour to direct the eye of the viewer. Her images offer a personal interpretation of intrinsic form, rather than narrative content or direct pictorial representation of a subject.
Mieke’s work strips down the unnecessary and focuses on simple lines and moments of stillness. Mieke’s images are held in private collections and have been exhibited internationally in Paris, Rome, Rotterdam, Barcelona and London, including at the prestigious Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition 2019.
