Classic Italian Design Luminator Floor Lamps by Pietro Chiesa for Fontana Arte

Located in Renens, CH
Floor lamp designed by Pietro Chiesa in 1933 and produced by Fontana Arte. The Luminator was for its time a groundbreaking design, and considered to be the first indirect light floor lamp in design history.
The lamp is completely built up in metal, consisting of a stem that widens into a cone. The color can be best described as a very light grey, with a hint of blue. The finish is not smooth, but has a relief to it.
Light source: E14 Screw-in halogen or incandescent bulb. Can be used on the US electric grid after a plug change (we can do this for you!).
Origination: Italy, 1980s. Most lamps carry the Fontana Arte label...
