About the Item
Late 1980's drawstring leather handbag by French jewelry designer, Dominique Aurientis, embellished with gold plated charms and medallions. This fabulous handbag is a testament to 1980's maximalist style with a combination of a functional silhouette and opulent decoration. The buttery soft leather is hot pink trimmed in bright gold. The drawstring rope handle is fed through gold rings that are decorated with a variety of filigree orbs and charms accented by rhinestones and glass beads. The roomy interior is also lined with gold leather and the rope handle is accented by hot pink and red silk rosettes at the shoulder. Labelled to the interior and hallmarked on one of the charms.
CONDITION
Good condition with signs of age and use including subtle soiling to leather. There is a dark mark on one of the rosettes. Overall the handbag makes a stunning impression.
MEASUREMENTS
The body of the handbag measures 13" tall x 10" wide x 4" deep. The handle measures 48" from end to end providing for a 24" drop.
