About the Item

One of a kind kyokuroku, the name given to this type of folding meditation chairs for monks. Made of wood, it is lacquered in red with a glossy nashiji finish and decorated with golden hardware decorated with different types of plant elements, such as chrysanthemum flowers and spiral vines, as well as an embossed design of 'pearl-hunting dragons'. The seat is made of black leather and the footrest is also foldable. The backrest is in the shape of a horseshoe and the structure of the chair is specially designed to sit cross-legged.
