A Song dynasty style porcelain pillow of the Ding kiln. The Ding kiln is one of the most important Song dynasty kilns. It produces milky white or beige glazed pieces that are favored for their simplicity and country grace. Featured is a man and a foo dog, symbol of vitality, good fortune and protection. The top of the pillow has engraved chrysanthemum. A wonderful piece of Chinese Folk Art that can be used in sophisticated modern living.
