Antique Chinese Altar Console Table with Overhang Top and Open Fretwork Scrolls
About the Item
A Chinese antique altar console table with overhang top and open fretwork on scroll frieze from the early 20th century. This Chinese altar table charms our eyes with its exquisite Silhouette and delicate décor! It features a rectangular planked top overhanging a spectacular apron, adorned with an open fretwork décor of scrolls on all sides. Our eye is then gently lead to the elegant base on which the console is raised, made of straight legs, each adorned with skilfully executed scrolls. These legs are connected to one another on the sides through stretchers accented with motifs echoed from the apron and intertwining rings that create a lovely focal point. With its unusual hand carved design and warm patina, this Chinese altar console table circa 1900 will be a great decorative accent in any home, perhaps placed in a living room, foyer or hallway.
