Chinese Console Table

About the Item

A rare Chinese Qing Dynasty period altar console table. The altar table is crafted of cypress wood, a a type of wood with a warm tint and beautiful grain. Table top made in one piece of wood featuring typical everted flanges and spandrels. The design with the straight legs and front legs ending in gently splayed feet, is a typical characteristic of furniture originating from the Fujian Province. Fujian Province 1820-1840.
