Japanese Asian Large Six-Panel Folding Byobu Flower Cart Screen, 19th Century

About the Item

A gorgeous six-panel Japanese Byobu folding screen. Listing as Meiji period but could very possibly Edo period. Decorated with peonies, irises and wisteria and two traditional flower carts all on gold leaf. The colors still radiate today. Original quite decorative brass hardware adds another stunning touch. This piece is sure to stand out in any setting and be the crown jewel in any collection. Dimensions when fully extended: 68" high, 150" wide, 1" deep. Approximate folded dimensions: 68" high, 25" wide, 6" deep.
