Serene Japanese 20th century Showa period four-panel byobu screen featuring a rustic lakeside village with distant mountains. Painted in the Nihonga School style with ink and color pigments on a gold silk ground. The screen is set in a black lacquered wood frame with a silk brocade border. Signed by artist on bottom right side with a seal. The painting has lovely subtle yellow, blue, and green tones with intricate details. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
