Pair of Italian 18th Century Baroque Style Marble Portals/Surrounds
About the Item
A striking and most unique pair of Italian 18th century Baroque st. white Carrara, Rouge Royal, Vert Maurin, black Belgian and Sienna marble portals. The most decorative door surrounds are raised by Rouge marble block feet below most elegant architectural columns which extend up each side. Each column displays most decorative inlaid Vert Maurin marble central reserves and beautiful Rouge Royal marble bands framed within a fine black Belgian marble fillets which lead up to the superb top crown. Above are richly sculpted charming white Carrara marble winged cherub faces and an exceptional thick stepped and mottled Sienna marble top cap with a most elegant lightly curved movement.
Can be used as door surroundings, portals, decorative wall elements or to frame a niche or statue.
