A fine large modernist bowl.
In copper and enamel.
By Paolo de Poli. the world-renowned Italian enameller and painter.
The interior decorated in black and red enamels and the exterior with a thin, translucent baby blue enamel (with large windows of copper showing through).
De Poli was in the Vanguard of Italian modernism, exhibiting Internationally, and collaborting with the titans of 20th Century design including Gio Ponti and Gino Severini among others.
Signed to the base 'De Poli'.
